ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

WALB celebrated the completion of its latest $1 million renovation.

Top officials with Raycom Media, WALB's parent ownership company, joined the Albany Chamber of Commerce and community leaders Tuesday for the ribbon cutting.

For the past six months, WALB's headquarters on Stuart Avenue has been undergoing a major renovation.

Approximately 8,000 square feet of the building was completely rebuilt.

The broadcasting industry is changing dramatically, with quick technology advances.

The large investment will make sure WALB continues to deliver you the best entertainment and information.

"As these new distribution alternatives pop up. Whether it's a mobile application or it's an over the top device like a Roku, or Amazon Fire, or Apple TV, WALB is going to be in all those places for the long haul," said Pat LaPlatney, Raycom Media CEO.
