AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Investigators are asking for the community's help to catch an arsonist in Americus.

Fire Marshal Zane Newman said that they're following some leads but aren't releasing names of any potential suspects.

Last week, someone threw a Molotov cocktail into an occupied apartment on Norman Cole Street.

Property Manager Robert White said that waiting for arrests hasn't been easy.

"The kind of person that would do that to me has just got some major issues. That's frustration, and there was a child in both sides (of the duplex). There were children in both sides, and that's just not right," explained White.

White said it will be a while before the insurance claim goes through and they're able to fix the property.

There's a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
