THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) -

The Thomas County High School Cyberstingers robotics team is headed to the state competition.

This past weekend they competed against thirty teams from across Georgia in a qualifying tournament.

The team's robot had to complete several tasks and challenges asked by the judges.

Students said they put a lot of time into preparing for this competition.

"It was great to know that through designing our robot that we managed to get done what we wanted to do," said Eli Kosciw, Senior.

"We're beyond blessed with the program that we have and the teachers and the time that the faculty and staff put into our program," Ashlyn Quattlebaum.

All three Yellow Jacket robotics teams brought home awards from the competition.
