Organizers say Thomasville Veterans parade was a success

"It was great to see so many people come out, the turnout was good, the veterans were so excited and the weather was perfect. THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Thomasville city leaders said Friday night's Veterans Day parade was a success after a two year break.

Hundreds of folks attended.

It also brought customers to downtown businesses.

Organizers said they plan to bring the parade back next year and for future years to come.

"It was great to see so many people come out, the turnout was good, the veterans were so excited and the weather was perfect. Considering there was two football games here locally we couldn't have asked for better," said Bonnie Hayes, Tourism Director.

The city partnered with local veterans groups to host the parade.
