ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany bakery provided kids a sweet way to celebrate Veterans Day.

Q's Cakes and More gave kids a creative history lesson Friday afternoon.

More than 40 kids decorated cupcakes and enjoyed face painting while learning about the importance of veterans.

"I felt it was very important to pour into the kids and let them know how important our armed services are to the country, and how they serve us and the great things they've done," said owner Quinetta Hall.

Veterans also got a 20 percent discount on all menu items.
