THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Surveillance video of a bank robbery that happened in Thomasville earlier this week has been released.

Police said that the robber got away with a lot of cash.

The suspect pulled up to the bank in a white dodge pickup truck, he was in and out within 45 seconds, and police don't believe this is the first time he has committed a crime like this, and it could happen again if he isn't caught.

On Wednesday, employees and customers at the Synovus Commercial Bank in Thomasville feared for their lives as an armed robber came in demanding money.

A man wearing a black hoodie, sunglasses and tape on his hands, pointed a gun at tellers and quickly ran out with cash.

Police believe he got away in a white four-door Dodge pickup.

Officers said that a picture from the surveillance video shows an unusual gun, and if anyone recognizes it they should call the police.

"This suspect was armed, if someone sees someone who fits this description, don't try to do anything just call us," said Major Eric Hampton, TPD.

There were customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, thankfully none of them were hurt.

This is one of three major incidents that happened on Wednesday, including a bomb threat and an armed robbery.

Police said that getting these dangerous criminals off the streets is a priority.
