ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Hillary Clinton got a lower share of young voters than President Obama got in either of his victories.

For many students at Albany State University, this was their first presidential election.

They said the campaign was exciting but some were shocked by the outcome.

"I just couldn't believe it, but I said when I fell asleep and I woke back up Donald Trump is going to be our president but it was crazy, I couldn't believe it really," said Devonte Pope.

"Since Trump is the president, I do believe that hopefully he will do our country proud and try not to avoid any backlash but also you know I hope and pray for the good of the United States that we can all come together," said Andre Dunn.

Both of those students voted for Hilary Clinton.
