AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

The Georgia Arson Control Board is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in an Americus fire.

Two people were inside an apartment on Norman Cole Street Monday morning when someone threw a Molotov-cocktail through a window, igniting a fire.

Americus Fire Marshall Zane Newman said with three people in the apartment next door, the fire could have been much worse, with a potential fatality.

One occupant suffered minor burns.

Anyone with any information on the crime is asked to call the Americus Fire Department.
