Tifton bank robber gets away

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Just after lunch Wednesday, the the SunTrust Bank on 2nd St, in Tifton was held up by a mild mannered man, thought to be in his thirties.

Detective Jacob Teeter said that the robber didn't even try to hide his face.

He went up to the teller and showed a note asking for money. He got some cash and walked out of the bank, and is still on the loose.

 Police say that he is a white man, around 30, thin and tall, with a five o'clock shadow, wearing a Columbia jacket, plaid button up shirt, slacks, and brown dress shoes.  

Anyone who recognizes him should call the Tifton Police Department at 229-382-3132. 

No one was harmed during the robbery.
