THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

The Thomasville Police Department is responding to reports of an armed robbery at a bank.

It happened at Synovus - Commercial Bank on Pinetree Boulevard and Remington Avenue.

The call came in at around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

An armed black male walked into the bank and demanded money. It wasn't clear how much money was taken.

The suspect left the scene in a white 4 door Dodge pick up truck.

No one was injured.

Costumers were encouraged to do their business at the downtown Thomasville location.

Officials with the Thomasville Police Department, Thomas County Sheriff's Office, and Georgia State Patrol responded to the call.

Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
