Archbold hosts 22nd annual golf tournament to raise scholarship funds

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Amateur and Pro golfers spent the day Monday enjoying the beautiful weather and raising money.

Archbold Memorial Hospital partnered with Thomasville National Bank to host the 22nd annual Archbold Classic.

The tournament raised $250,000 to provide scholarships for nursing students.

"We're very proud of the fact that we're investing in our future work force thats very in demand, whatever we can do to invest in our future workforce," said Vann Middleton, Archbold Foundation President.

The Archbold Classic Golf Tournament has raised over $1.7 million in the past 22 years.
