ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The 4th Annual Touch a Truck is happening this Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Albany Museum of Art (AMA).
On Saturday, children will be able to explore over 40 trucks including 18 wheelers, dump trucks, and other vehicles.
The event takes place on the museum's lawn and gives families a chance to learn more about the trucks and how they benefit our community.
From 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., the museum has designated horn free hours for those who are sensitive to sounds. Then, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., some of the trucks will be sounding their horns and sirens.
Tickets are $5 per person or $20 for families of 5 or more.
The proceeds from Saturday's event will go towards remodeling the museum's children's space.
"We want to keep it fresh and new and exciting and engaging, so that's why this remodel is so important. We want to offer something that the family really enjoys coming to," AMA's Director of Education Chloe Hinton said.
There will also be face painting, coloring projects, and a space where kids can create their own cities out of boxes as well.
