PLAINS, GA (WALB) - President Jimmy Carter wasn't talking politics, but he was signing books Thursday night in Plains.
He's written dozens of books but "Plain(s) and Simple" is his first coffee table book he's been a part of.
It showcases hometown recipes including Rosalyn Carter's famous cheese ring.
It also tells readers about Plains.
Plains Better Hometown helped put the book together.
"It's a wonderful picture of the way life ought to be everywhere now and the way it was for the last 50 years in Plains, Georgia," said President Carter.
The book costs $40 and $50 for a signed copy.
The proceeds will help maintain downtown Plains.
