Witnesses testify in 2013 double murder trial

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Witnesses to a deadly Albany gang shooting tell jurors in a double murder trial what they saw.

Jawaski Kennedy faces 26-counts of murder, aggravated assault and street gang terrorism.

Prosecutors say he and other Westside Rattlers opened fire on the homes of Southside Blooods on Willard Avenue in 2013, killing  William Davis Junior and Desmond Williams.

19-year old Tyrone Flownory testified today he was with Davis when he was shot in the back of the head.

He told the jury he saw Kennedy in a car firing shots.

His mother, Latosha, testified she was in her bedroom when she heard the shots.

She said she looked out her window and saw shots coming from the car and Williams wounded.

The trial resumes on Friday.
