Big community job fair kicks off today

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - For the second time this year, job seekers are invited to the Valdosta-Lowndes Community Job Fair, hosted by the Goodwill Career Center and Epic Advertising.

Open positions include quality control techs, production operators, correctional officers, graphic designers, and more.

Base salaries range from $9.25 to $15.54 an hour.

Organizers say they expect hundreds of people looking for work to take advantage of the free resources.
The job fair runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Thursday, November 3, at the City of Valdosta Annex, 300 N. Lee Street (Smithland Place) in Valdosta.

The free event provides access to a vast spectrum of employment and career opportunities in the Valdosta-Lowndes area.

Organizers say the fair is based on a direct contact recruitment approach, focusing exclusively on real encounters between recruiters and candidates.

The City of Valdosta, The Valdosta Daily Times, and JM Eagle are some of the employers who will be represented.
