THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A Thomasville man accused of killing his infant daughter over two years ago plead guilty in September, and Monday morning, Damien Holloway was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
Holloway pled guilty to the charges of voluntary manslaughter and cruelty to a child. He could have received 20 years on each charge.
Nine month old Madelyn Holloway died of traumatic head injury in February 2014.
The GBI investigated five months before charging Holloway with her death.
When Holloway was first arrested, his family told WALB he would never intentionally harm his child.
