ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Greek letter organizations at Albany State held their annual walk to support cancer support and research.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority hosted a cancer walk and celebration Saturday morning.
They had over ten organizations registered, and more than 100 people walked in the event.
Darais Anderson of Omega Psi Phi said it was easy to get people to support the cause.
"It spoke for itself. When it came to service, our school is so big on helping, the school they gravitated to it," said Anderson.
Over $500 was raised.
All of the money raised will go to the American Cancer Society.
