UPDATE: Police search for vehicle after Liberty Food Mart robbery

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police have gotten new information on a robbery that happened earlier this month, and they're hoping that the public might be able to help them locate the men responsible.

Police said that a blue minivan, displaying a possible out-of-state handicap tag was seen in the area just before the robbery on Thursday October 6th at the Liberty Food Mart in the 1400 block of North Slappey Boulevard.

According to officials, two black males with handguns entered the store just before 10 p.m.

Police said that employees reported that both men had their faces covered with shirts, and one was wearing a hooded camouflage jacket.

Authorities reported that both robbers pointed a gun at the employees and the one in the jacket demanded cash from the register, and the two then left the store with an undetermined amount of money.

Officials said that surveillance footage shows two men approaching the door from the back of the building.
