EDISON, GA (WALB) -

If you drive down highway 37 you may see something a little unusual.

Pink bails of cotton lined up with a message.

The farmer said it stemmed from an idea from two farmers at the Edison co-op gin.

They thought it would be a good idea to get pink wrap for their cotton bails.

James Webb's farm just happens to be right off highway 37, a route many folks take.

So he moved some equipment and set out these bails of cotton to spread the word about breast cancer awareness month.

"Everybody has been touched with some type of cancer and being breast cancer month and we are harvesting in October it just worked out great and it was really a great idea by those two guys at our gin," said Webb.

A number of other farms in the area have also taken part.
