If you haven't taken advantage of early voting, the Dougherty County Board of Registration and Elections has given you another opportunity to vote this coming Sunday.
Dougherty County is one of the few districts that offers a day of Sunday voting, and if you'll remember, Dougherty County's last Sunday voting was a success with approximately 500 people casting ballots.
This year, officials hope to have more than one thousand people vote on Sunday.
"We've set up two locations to be prepared for everybody who wants to walk through these doors. We don't want them waiting in long lines. We're trying to get them in and get them out as fast as we can. And we also, we want them here," said Dougherty Elections Supervisor Ginger Nickerson.
You can still take advantage of early voting this week through November 4th at two locations: The Government Center and the Candy Room inside the Riverfront Resource Center at 125 Pine Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
But, in case you can't make it on one of those dates, you'll be able to vote Sunday, October 30th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the Candy Room.
We commend the board for offering this special voting opportunity so that as many people as possible can take part in the elections process.
