AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - The Sumter County School Board officially chose a construction management company to manage the building of its new high school.
Parrish Construction Group out of Perry, GA, will manage the project for the new facility to include grades nine through 12.
The new school will replace the two current campuses, one housing grade nine and the other housing grade 10-12.
The board has yet to choose the land for the school.
Dr. Michael Busman, the board's chairman, said realistically, the school could be done within 2.5 to three years after the board has chosen the land to build on.
