THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

The all clear was given after Thomasville police evacuated MacIntyre Park Middle School due to a bomb threat Wednesday morning.

Students sat in the bleachers at the football stadium for about an hour.

Investigators said they found a note in the bathroom referring to the school being "blown up"

Police said this isn't something they ever take lightly.

"This is a very serious crime, a very serious thing, we take it very seriously here at the police department and our law enforcement agency here and I'm sure the schools will take it very serious as well," said Major Eric Hampton, Thomasville PD.

Investigators are now trying to review school security camera footage to see who left the note in the bathroom.

They said disciplinary actions will be taken
