Defendant in nursing home death pleads guilty

DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

James Jacobs who was originally charged in 2014, with financial fraud in connection to the death of Alexander Hunter, the man found buried behind Rosewood Manor Nursing Home case, has entered a guilty plea. 

Jacobs pled guilty this morning to concealing a death, and murder, according to Waycross Assistant District Attorney Ian Sansot.

His sentence will be imposed Tuesday morning at 9:00.

Diana Jacobs, his wife, will serve 10 years for concealing a death, and 20 years for exploitation of an elder/disabled adult. Both sentences are to be served concurrently.

The couple's son still faces charges in the death of Mr. Hunter.
