WARWICK, GA (WALB) -

A DUI road check has been going on.

Friday night, law enforcement from across south Georgia were stopping cars and checking for impaired drivers, driver's license, and seat belt violations.

There were also several arrests.

"Yes there were. Some marijuana less than an ounce," said Warwick Police Chief Dustin Stephenson.

The road checks were part of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety crackdown to stop impaired and drunk driving, and increase seat belt usage.
