Police squad car wreck closes Albany intersection

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

GSP officials were called in after a wreck between a civilian vehicle and a police squad car.

The wreck happened at about 8 p.m. Friday on the corner of Radium Springs Road and Oglethorpe Boulevard.

According to officials, an Albany Police squad car was traveling west on Oglethorpe Blvd.

A 60-year-old driver traveling east at the time made a turn in front of the squad car, causing the collision.

The intersection of Radium Springs and Oglethorpe was blocked off as a result.

There were no complaints of any injuries.

No citations were issued following the wreck.
