SUMTER CO., GA (WALB) -

Two Sumter County men are facing felony drug charges and possible deportation.

Wednesday morning in Americus, a joint drug bust with the Department of Homeland Security and the Sumter County Sheriff's office led to the arrest of Bartola Romero-Adame and Marcial Catalan-Arcos.

Investigators seized more than 60 grams of marijuana and six guns, one of which was stolen in a burglary in Sumter County in August.

"I don't know what they're doing with all these handguns," said Corporal Chad Ciani of the Sumter County Sheriff Office. "They didn't appear to be hunters. They were illegal aliens, so it's illegal for them to possess these handguns."

After their criminal cases in Sumter County, their potential deportation will be in the hands of Homeland security.
