Americus murder suspect pleads guilty, sentenced to life in prison

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - The suspect accused in a double murder that stemmed from an armed robbery on December 22, 2014, has pleaded guilty.

After day two of testimony, A.D.A. Lewis Lamb said that Jermaine Taylor entered his guilty plea around 5:15 Tuesday afternoon.

Taylor has been sentenced to life in prison.

GBI agents reported Marcus Harper and Martin Thames died in the shootout.
