SUMTER CO., GA (WALB) -

A Sumter County woman was charged following a fatal wreck over the summer.

Adaisha Walker was arrested October 12, 2016, and booked into the Sumter County Jail for homicide by vehicle, failure to yield and distracted driving.

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Swanner, the crash happened at GA Highway 30 and Lamar Road on June 20, 2016.

Three vehicles were in the wreck.

Christopher White, 39, died in the crash.

Trooper Swanner said the initial crash report showed that Walker pulled out onto GA Highway 30 from Lamar Road in front of a semi-truck carrying logs. Trooper Swanner said the log truck lost control, overturned, and the logs came loose.

One of those logs, according to the report, hit the truck that Christopher White was driving.

Walker is the only person charged in connection to the wreck.
