ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Shocking surveillance video shows another Albany convenience store getting robbed at gunpoint by masked men.

But this time the Albany Police caught some suspects in just minutes, and made arrests.

Investigators said it was members of the  community who helped them catch these robbers.

The surveillance video shows the incident that happened around 10 Sunday night at the Oasis Convenience Store on South Slappey.

Two masked men burst in and quickly pointed guns in the face of the clerk, demanding money.

Two female customers stood with their hands in the air while the robber took a handful of cash and made the clerk put it in a plastic bag.

The two robbers ran off, but witnesses made sure they did not get away.

"We had a number of citizens that gave us information where the suspects were located. Which direction they were running.  And with their help we were able to apprehend those 3 subjects," said Albany Police Lt. Keithen Hall.

This time police were ready. They set up a perimeter around the area, and were able to arrest the suspects in the 900 block of West Gordon Avenue just minutes later.

Peter Quintanilla, 18, Xavier Winbush, 24, and Collin Donaldson, 17, all of Lee County, were charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a gun during a crime.

Police are still investigating, but doubt if they are involved in any of the other recent store armed robberies.

"We are looking at them in others, but from the information they might be just an isolated incident, possibly," said Hall.

There has been a recent wave of violent convenience store robberies in all sections of Albany.

Police are using the tactical information from those robberies to be ready if crooks strike again.

People in the community are fed up with these crimes. Police say they still need their help like they did last night.

"It's going to take the citizens of Albany, everybody. We can't be in one place at all the time. We need everybody out here," said Hall.

All three of the young men charged in last night's armed robbery are now being held in the Dougherty County jail without bond.
