According to officials, the accident happened at about 6:35 p.m. on Saturday.

46-year-old Frederick Hunter was driving north on South Mock Road.

Rhonda Smith, 50, was at a residence on the 1300 block of South Mock Road when she was notified that her dog was hit by a vehicle. She then ran into the road on foot, traveling east.

A south bound vehicle swerved to avoid Smith.

Smith continued running down the road and was then struck by Hunter's vehicle.

Witnesses say that a north bound truck also struck Smith and continued to travel away from the scene.
