EARLY CO., GA (WALB) -

Temperatures are still hot in the afternoon but fall is here and one local school is celebrating.

Early County Elementary School held their annual Fall Fest event Thursday.

It is one of the many events during the school's spirit week.

Parents and kids got a chance to spend time together playing games.

High school students volunteered to run some of the booths.

"It's great to get to come into our school with my kids, with my sons, and spend some time as they do their fall festival. There is a lot going on but the kids have a blast and all the booths are wonderful," said April Grist, mother of two.

Many parents said the event is something their kids look forward to the most every year.
