ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A woman who went to court on a previous summons was taken into custody Tuesday in an on-going death investigation, when authorities realized who she was.
Jennifer Creech, 32, was one of the women who snuck out of Phoebe Putney Hospital, where she was taken for an apparent drug overdose last week.
Police wanted to interview her in connection to the death of Leslie Peeler, who was found dead from an apparent overdose in a truck in a convenience store parking lot.
Andrea Taylor, 30, is also wanted by authorities in this case.
When Dougherty County Police raided two suspected drug houses last week, one man ran, and Creech and Taylor taken to the hospital.
"It appears we removed some heroin out there, and some other things being done there," said Dougherty County Police Captain Tom Jackson. "They left the hospital without seeking the medical care they actually needed at the time," explained Jackson.
Police said that the owners of the two homes, Larry Sparks and Jeffery Walker were arrested. Investigators said Sparks lived in one home, and called the other home "Sparks Suites," where he rented out rooms for $30 for drug use.
That is where police believed Peeler died, and her body was taken to the convenience store to hide the house's location.
