ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man is going all out for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Tony Wilkerson dyed his hair pink to help raise awareness for breast cancer during the month of October.

Wilkerson said that the disease runs in his family.

His mom survived breast cancer, and his aunt lost her battle.

Wilkerson's hairdo has been getting a lot of reaction from people around town.

"It's a mixed thing. A lot of folks have been pretty excited you know, to see me doing something like that. And some folks are sort of off-putish you know, kind of think I'm strange for it. When I explain why, they come around with a different attitude," explained Wilkerson.

Wilkerson plans to make this an annual tradition and hopes others will join him.
