Sylvester Police need your help, after crooks broke into several cars at an auto repair shop.

The thieves stole car batteries out of at least four vehicles at Main Street Auto Repair in the past week. One car's stereo system was also ripped out.

The thieves also targeted city vehicles but did not steal anything from them.

Interim Police Chief Kenneth Washington says they now need help to find the crooks.

"We ask people to identify your property," said Washington.   "Mark it, write down your serial numbers, keep it in a place that, when you do have these thefts, we can identify your property. These people will sell this stuff, and we will run it down. And if we locate it, we'll know what we're looking for."

If you have any information on these crimes, call the Sylvester Police Department at 776-8500.
