WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

A happy update for one Florida family that evacuated to Sylvester during Hurricane Matthew.

Ashley Anspach and her family returned to yesterday in Valusia County, Florida.

Ashley said her road is closed and the power is still out.

She said her home is okay despite a few downed trees.

Ashley, her two daughters, her mother and her cat sought shelter at a church in Sylvester from Friday to Sunday afternoon.

She said they're thankful for the hospitality they received her in south Georgia.

"It could have been a lot worse. I'm glad we didn't second guess and we left. It could've been way worse. In due time, I can replace my furniture, and all that.  I can't replace my children. So I would leave in a heartbeat again," said Anspach.

Ashley said she and her mother are seriously considering moving to South Georgia because of how wonderful their stay was.
