TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Business is up at South Georgia restaurants because of all the hurricane evacuees on Friday night.

The Golden Corral in Tifton is also donating food to shelters.

So far, it has passed out 200 pounds of food.

The franchise owner said he and other owners are happy to help out when people are in need.

"They are very in tune with the community and they want to help. They want to do the right thing. We actually will call each other, matter fact I actually got the call from Bojangles asking if we can help too. So we all try to work together," said Golden Corral Franchise Owner Michael Slentz.

Bojangles and Olive Garden have also donated food.
