TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

A South Georgia college is taking in students from the coast.

ABAC is housing students from the College of Coastal Georgia.

The Brunswick campus evacuated Wednesday.

19 students who live too far away to get home came to ABAC.

"My temporary roommates were very welcoming. They told me to just make myself at home and then we've been to a baseball game and there's actually a tractor pull," said Catherine Nelson.

"I was very happy to see that our school was planned for this situation even though it was their very first time so we experienced in their first experience evacuation," said Demetrice Chapman.
