MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

The last two defendants in the deadly shooting of a Norman Park man were given 30 year sentences on Friday.

MORE: 5 of 7 sentences handed down in Norman Park murder case

Christian Glover and Tykerious "Grump" Jones were sentenced in Colquitt County Superior Court on Friday to 20 years in prison and 10 on probation.

The Judge heard from the family of the victim.

John Hester was killed during an attempted home invasion last year.

In August, Glover was acquitted of murder charges but convicted of home invasion, armed robbery and gun crimes.

Hester's family and prosecutors hoped for a longer sentence for him.

"It doesn't bring my father back or lessen our grief any, but I hope that we can find some closure now," said Hester's daughter Tammy Croy.

"I think Mr. Glover should have gotten more, but I am sympathetic with the defendant's family. They were young men and they made a mistake as they said, but they have to pay for that mistake and of course Mr. Hester's family, they've lost a husband, a father and a grandfather," explained Chief Assistant DA Brad Shealy.

Jones and five other suspects entered guilty pleas to lesser charges in exchange for their testimony in Glover's murder trial.
