Beware of drugs that resemble candy

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

With Halloween approaching, a warning tonight about drugs that look like candy.

Recently, Albany Dougherty Drug Unit agents have seized candy laced with drugs and drugs disguised as candy.

The coroner warns parents not to let their kids eat candy that's not in its original packaging.

"If I do it on the front end to give kids ideas and let them know what is out there and let the public know what is out there I think it will be better--being proactive."

Michael Fowler says parents need to monitor where their children get candy.
