ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

MCLB Albany is helping FEMA get ready to deal with Hurricane Matthew.

The storm could hit the Atlantic coast Friday.

FEMA will stage some relief supplies at the Albany base.

Around 100 tractor trailers filled with commodities will start arriving soon.

"I would say it's critical to have installations identified that can act in a support role and it's all DOD installation, if they have the right location, and the right layout," said MCLB Installation Emergency Manager Steven Dancer.

The last time FEMA staged supplies at the Marine base was last August when Tropical Storm Erika hit Florida.
