BLUFFTON, GA (WALB) - A general store that's a link to the past is just weeks away from coming back to life.
Bluffton's General Store closed back in the early 60's with almost everything still left on the shelves. White Oak Pastures bought the store, with a plan to bring it back to life.
They've been working to transform it back to a store, and it's now just weeks away from opening.
The store will sell food from White Oak Pastures, Georgia Grown products, as well as leather and artisan goods.
Jodi Benoit is excited to finally see her dream a reality. "Now it's come to life, so we are really excited. And we are so glad that we did it. I was nervous, but we are really glad. It just makes me happy to be here," she said.
The store will have its grand opening on October 15th, as they celebrate the farm's 150th anniversary. It will be a day-long celebration with food trucks and a performance by Bo Henry Band.
