TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) is gearing up for its “First Tuesday Concert Series.”

The first concert of the season is Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. inside Driggers Hall located on ABAC’s campus.

Tuesday’s concert will feature jazz music from ABAC’s director of jazz studies Dr. Thomas Heflin.

ABAC’s Head of the Fine Arts Department Dr. Susan Roe told WALB News 10 that Dr. Heflin is great when it comes to interacting with the audience and that participants are in for a treat.

“You can come relaxed. You can come in your scrubs, you can come straight from work, go get a bite to eat. It starts at 7:00 p.m. and it’s over at 7:50 or 7:55 p.m. and then you’re home for the rest of the evening," Roe said.

Roe suggested that people arrive around 6:45 p.m. for a good seat, because the venue fills up quickly.

The concert is free to the public.

This is the college’s 15th season of the series.
