ALBANY, GA (WALB) - It may not be the typical way to receive a flu shot, but one health care office gave screenings right before they gave out funnel cakes.
Albany Area Primary Health Care hosted its Annual Community Resource and Health Fair at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds.
They offered free health screenings, flu shots, and HIV testing. There was also carnival food, games, door prizes, and cash prizes.
"It's a beautiful way to give back but also help individuals that may not have a doctor, educate themselves on their numbers, that way they can actually take care of their health," said organizer Jocelyn Gates.
The screenings and flu shots were offered to people of all ages.
