THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Students at Brookwood School in Thomasville showed support for 2-year-old Alex Suarez, who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.

A lot of people at Friday night's football game shaved their heads to honor Alex, support childhood cancer awareness, and raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

"I think its great just knowing that when you have so many kids that are diagnosed with cancer everyday world wide. That we continue to find ways to support them and fund research which is so great for childhood cancer," said Karen Singletary, parent & organizer.

The school's headmaster even participated in the event by shaving his head in front of everyone in the stands.
