ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A $2,500 donation will soon help provide 10,000 meals to families in need.
Auto Owners Insurance presented the check to Second Harvest of South Georgia on Friday.
The donation was a part of the insurance company's 100th anniversary celebration.
It also donated 200 items including food and blankets.
They chose to donate to Second Harvest and the Albany Rescue Mission.
"Our company strives to provide a quality service to the community and we're just helping other businesses and charities to do the same," said Auto Owners Insurance Assistant Manager Mark Smith.
The donation will serve 3,000 people.
