ALBANY, GA (WALB) - On the eve of an important day in Albany State University's history, ASU President Art Dunning says the consolidation process with Darton State remains on schedule to be complete in January.
An investiture ceremony will be held tomorrow to celebrate Dr. Dunning being named ASU's 9th president.
Thursday night community leaders gathered for a reception to honor Dunning at the Darton student center.
He says he looks forward to sharing his message with South Georgia Friday.
"The message will be the significance of learning, the future of Southwest Georgia's education level and public higher level education, and a little bit about who I am," said Dr. Dunning.
The ceremony will be held at the Albany Municipal Auditorium Friday at 2 pm.
