THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Pre-K students in Thomasville spent Thursday learning about healthy eating habits.

Hand in Hand Elementary School students in Thomas County visited Harveys Supermarket Thursday morning.

Students picked out healthy food items they ate during snack time.

Teachers at the school hope these healthy eating habits stay with them for good.

"I think when they're younger is when they develop their habits they will have throughout their life. So I think its awesome that we start this early with those habits," said teacher Rebekah Swilley.

The students also attended a Zumba class at the YMCA and had recess at Remington Park.
