LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) - Thursday is Georgia On My Mind Day in Lowndes County.
Over 40 tourism partners will be at the Valdosta Visitor Information Center showing people what the state has to offer when it comes to things to do in Georgia.
The center sits along I-75 and welcomes guests from the South. Tourism officials said the Valdosta Visitor Information Center welcomes around 3 million tourists a year.
Last year, the center closed for renovations and opened back up in June of this year.
Georgia On My Mind Day will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
There will be information on area attractions, product displays, and several giveaways.
Valdosta Visitor Information Center Manager Kathy Sasnett said area residents are encouraged to come to learn more about things to do in Georgia.
The Visitor Information Center is located at 5584 Mill Store Road.
