Americus men charged with cruelty to children

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Two males are in custody after officials said they forced two minors to fight.

Jalen Hill, 18, of Americus is charged with two counts of first degree cruelty to children and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

And William Clinton Moore III, 18, of Americus is charged with four counts of first degree cruelty to children and two counts of contribution to the delinquency of a minor.

Americus Police Department responded to a call in the 1300 block of Douglas Circle around 5:30 p.m on Tuesday.

Officials said both Hill and Moore threatened to harm an 8-year-old if he did not fight a 9-year-old.

The 9-year-old's right eye was slightly cut and heavily swollen.

And the condition of the 8-year-old is unknown at this time.
