ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

New video tonight that Albany Police hope will help identify a man who beat two female employees as he tried to rob an dollar store.

Surveillance video from the Dollar General on South Slappey Sunday night about 8PM shows a man jump the counter.
He uses an umbrella to shield himself from pepper spray one of the clerks sprays at him.

The suspect punches both clerks several times and puts one in a choke hold, holding what police think is a razor against her neck.
The women manage to break away and lock themselves in a break room and call 9-1-1.
They were treated by E-M-S.

The man could not open the cash register and ran out the back of the store when police arrived.

If you recognize him, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
